Spring ‘26 Discipleship Groups

Discipleship Groups

“Discipleship Groups” are for those wanting a short-term but more intensive experience that involves greater commitment to weekly preparation and accountability. These groups can be previewed on January 25, 3pm in the Ridgetop Room.

  • These groups serve as our foundation groups and are a prerequisite for all other discipleship groups. Participants will learn about the basic beliefs and practices of the Christian faith. Beliefs include truths like the trinity, sin, grace, and resurrection. Practices include things like prayer, Bible study, and making disciples. Group expectations include weekly homework from Greg Ogden’s workbook Discipleship Essentials parts 1&2.

Study Material: Discipleship Essentials by Greg Ogden

  • These groups take a deep dive into 11 essential doctrines (aka teachings) of the Christian faith. Group expectations include weekly reading of 20-25 pages that will explore topics that span the entire Bible including creation, humanity, sin, salvation, the church, and mission. Group time is spent discussing weekly reading followed by a check in and prayer.

Study Materials: Doctrine by Driscoll and Breshears

  • These groups explore biblical counseling concepts that help participants deal with personal struggles (addiction, depression, negative emotions . . .) and gain skills to work with others who are struggling. Weekly reading and personal reflection will be assigned and group time will be used to discuss questions and insights from homework.
